First time hearing and seeing you at Festival of the Islands. I love "Here's to Love", I don't hear alot of mention of "Hurry Home"? I would have bought another CD if I had another friend with me. LOL Looking forward to hearing and seeing you again. Did anyone mention you have a bit of Eric Clapton in you?

The Festival of the Islands gig was extremely inspirational. Thank you very much - was standing next to family members for the most part of the concert, and especially enjoyed the song you dedicated to your daughter. Good luck in all your endeavours - Jeff

First heard Michael sing "Starry Night" at an Epilepsy Kingston fundraiser years ago. His rendition brought me to tears and is still my absolute favourite version of the song. It's great to now have a whole album showcasing his songwriting talent as well as that unforgettable voice!

I just wanted to add my name to the growing list of those who are inspired by your music. While every song on your upcoming CD is worthy of fame and fortune, the one that really jumps out at me,the one that I quite literally can't get out of my head is "Out of the Blue" (Could this be love?)
To me,the lyrics tell a timeless story in a new and authentic way (no small feat in the realm of popular music!).It is about as perfect as any musical performance ever gets!
As I suspected the first time I heard you play, you are one of Canada's top solo artists.I look to your continued success, which at this point seems irreversible!

Michael George has been a key player and integral supporter of the Kingston music scene, and is always willing to get involved and support our community. While his skills as a vocalist and musician are well loved here,it is his songwriting and ability to evoke emotion through the delivery of his thoughtfully crafted lyrics that will bring him to a larger stage!
Michael's tireless work ethic and pursuit of perfection, evident in his soon to be released recording will certainly have widespread global appeal.

Your stuff is great Michael!! It is so refreshing to run into a song like yours after listening to sooo much tripe!! I don't mean to sound like a cow but pleeeaaaassse can't some people hear the difference between what is on the radio and what they are producing?? I am not perfect but I feel like a cow if I am to be honest in the broadjam reviewing process. You will be a huge star one day that is a fact!! If you ever need a co-writer, do drop me a line. Cheers, your parents should be proud. Joanne McDonnell

Shawn,

Thanks for the note.
The DSA sent 29 songs to listen to. Although I listen to the entire list 5 - 10 times, I was almost certain you had the winner after the first time through. It's a timeless song and a great performance as well. It really stood out.

Send me your cd upon completion and I'll listen to it. If I can connect you, I will.

Keep up the great work and keep me posted on your progress.

Roy

Hi Lisa,

Michael:

This cd you gave me at the Holiday Inn is just fantastic. You should have this released before Christmas or ASAP. You are incredibly talented my friend, a wonderful writer, and this music I've listened would have no problem making it to the airwaves in my opinion and I have worked in broadcasting so I kind of know what I'm talking about. Michael, I think you're on to something with this work. Keep on plugging away and add me to the team. I'm a believer!!.
Thanks and good luck with this!!

Stuart Roberts

Hi Michael & Shawn,
Thank you for the excellent music and information you forwarded to us.
I'm sorry if it has taken us some time to get back to you but we receive over 100 CD's every week and it takes some time to work through them all!
We listen to them all with a view to where the artist and music might best be placed if it is of suitable quality. Most is not of course!
As we are overseas in Europe, Asia and the USA frequently, office/studio time for listening to new material is also often limited. We have recently just returned from Russia and EEMC 2006 so are back on the trail for great music.
I have today had a good listen to your excellent offering and have this day replied in writing to you with a letter of offer.
You should receive this in the mail in the next 7 to 10 days.
We have affilliations and associations with over 60 international labels and are expanding all the time! Our work spans publishing, licensing, film and radio in many countries.
We also have several number one artist, Grammy award winning artists and gold/platinum award winning artists and writers in our catalogues/roster who we do regular licensing, publishing, sub publishing and publishing administration work for.
So please do give our letter of offer some serious consideration and we look forward to hearing more of you and your music in the coming months.
Kindest Regards,
Norman McCourt. (Director-Australian Music Marketing Abroad) (Director-Australian Radio Services) (Editor-An'R artist, repertoire and international licensing)

Dear Shaun,

Although we're not accepting any new unsolicited material right now, I'll
make an exception in your case, so send it on!

You should see our mailing address below, okay?

As a fellow artist on Broadjam, I became familiar with Michael George's work through his song "It Wasn't You". His lyrical and melodic style as a composer shows a truly gifted musician and songsmith.
